Outcomes from COP 17 & the Implications for South Africa |
Good COP, Bad COP? Depending on who you listen to the 17th Conference of the Parties was either a resounding success, achieving landmark decisions and setting us up for future agreements that will include all major emitters, or a catastrophic failure that has allowed the climate culprits off the hook.
The presentation will focus on the key decisions and examine some of the practical implications for businesses that result from agreement or lack thereof in the legal framework, the ongoing use of market-based mechanisms and the Green Climate Fund.
