The Energy and Climate Change Strategy is the overarching strategy plan which promotes sustainable energy interventions whilst reducing carbon emissions. It sets out the vision, focus areas, objectives, targets, measures and projects for the City and forms the basis of the City energy and climate change activities in the short, medium and long term.
The City has made significant institutional and policy changes in order to address the critical issues of energy security, development of a low carbon future growth path, energy poverty and resilience to climate change impacts - progress, obstacles and opportunities as well as some reflection on projects across the City will form the basis of the presentation and discussion.
